Monday 12 April 2021 will go down as the day when – finally – a degree of ‘normality’ has returned to these shores following the first significant easing of our national lockdown. It has meant that a huge number of UK businesses have been able to re-open to the public and start to benefit from much-needed revenue streams.

This really is a significant landmark in our recent history, following months of uncertainty and upheaval for business owners across the country. These long-running retail awards are now in their 26th year of operation, and offer all kinds of businesses the chance to be recognised for their efforts across four distinct category types:

Independent Categories – for independent convenience retailers operating up to 10 stores.
Multiple Categories – open to grocery retailers with more than 10 stores.
Company-Owned Categories – for individual stores belonging to a group with more than 10 company-owned, managed stores.
Symbol / Franchise Categories – open to symbol, fascia and franchise groups operating within the UK convenience store market.

Showcase what you’ve achieved in the UK grocery retail sector – whether you’re a largest supermarket or small independent stores – in everything from the best use of new technology to local community engagement. What’s more, all of the awards are FREE to enter.

Open to all retailers, relevant agencies, marketers and any company that trades online, the eCommerce Awards offer a wealth of different categories under these sections: ‘Industry’, ‘Marketing and Engagement’, ‘Specialist’, ‘Website’ and ‘Business’.

Of the 33 categories available in total, specific ones include ‘Best Food & Drink eCommerce‘, ‘Best Fashion eCommerce‘ and ‘Best B2B eCommerce site‘.

With companies from all industries stepping up their digital strategies to meet changing customer demands and lifestyles, it has become critical for high street retailers to make their online offering as effective as possible. Retailers have had to work harder than ever to maximise the limited opportunities that have existed over the past 12 months to increase sales. The Creative Retail Awards celebrate retail innovation and design for all forms of outlet including shopping centres, supermarkets, high streets, pop-ups, retail concepts and in-store features.

There are 22 awards up for grabs, including categories such as ‘Innovative Display Product‘, ‘Food / Beverage and Supermarket Design‘ and – new for 2021 – ‘Bar and Restaurant Design’.

The awards night itself is a dynamic and inspirational annual event that blends networking with an informal party atmosphere celebrating the diversity in the retail industry.
